Immersive escalator
LEGO
In collaboration with Toychamp and LEGO, we created an immersive escalator experience to welcome visitors as they enter the store. Through four 55-inch displays seamlessly built into the wall, we brought the LEGO Dreamzzz characters to life, making it appear as if they are following guests up the escalator. Developed in collaboration with AR studio PLAYAR and integrated by Geronika’s technical team.
Process
We began by receiving detailed escalator data from the client. In collaboration with LEGO, we then designed the wall sticker that serves as the backdrop for the experience. Using this input, we recreated the scene in 3D and began developing the LEGO animations. Taking into account the positioning and speed of the escalator, as well as the placement of the displays, we created a precise mapping for the visuals. Since visitors pass very close to the screens and the characters move seamlessly across multiple displays from left to right, we produced the animations in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second to ensure maximum clarity.
